🧁 Ingredients
For the Cake:
1 box chocolate cake mix (plus ingredients listed on the box: usually eggs, oil, water)
For the Filling:
1 can (14 oz / 397g) sweetened condensed milk
1 cup chocolate fudge sauce (store-bought or homemade)
For the Topping:
1½ cups heavy whipping cream (cold)
¼ cup powdered sugar
½ cup chocolate chips (melted and cooled slightly)
½ cup mini chocolate chips
½ cup crushed chocolate cookies or chocolate bars
Chocolate shavings (optional but dramatic)
👩🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Bake the Cake
Prepare and bake the chocolate cake according to package instructions in a 9x13 inch pan.
Let it cool for about 10–15 minutes (not fully cold).
2️⃣ Poke It
Using the handle of a wooden spoon, poke holes all over the cake — about 1 inch apart.
Go deep, but don’t destroy it 😅
3️⃣ Make It Soaked & Dangerous
Mix the sweetened condensed milk with the fudge sauce.
Slowly pour the mixture over the cake, making sure it goes into all the holes.
Let the cake cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours (overnight = even better).
4️⃣ Whipped Chocolate Topping
Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
Gently fold in the melted chocolate.
Spread evenly over the chilled cake.
5️⃣ The Final Chocolate Attack
Sprinkle:
Mini chocolate chips
Crushed cookies
Chocolate shavings
Refrigerate 30 more minutes before serving.
